What is your background?
Being raised in Dundee, it was hard for Megan not to love everything the Willamette Valley has to offer. She has always enjoyed taking advantage of the great outdoors, farm-to-fork restaurants and wonderful local activities right in her backyard. As an adult, she was finally able to enjoy the bounty of the vineyards - now loving the local Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay grown within miles of her childhood home.
After graduating from Newberg High School, Megan genuinely fell in love with hospitality and studied Hospitality Management at Johnson & Wales University. Over a course of a decade, she developed her guest service skills at some of the most luxurious hotels and resorts in the West. It was not until the Willamette Valley truly embraced the idea of wine country tourism that she knew she could return home to pursue her career dreams. Moving back has proven to be one of her favorite choices in life so far. Her small hometown has grown along with the wine vines into something very special - every year more wineries open and new eateries set up shop. By helping to handcraft this destination area, Megan is excited to provide wonderful retreats for couples, friends and families looking to explore Oregon's Wine Country.
Anything you would like to share about your family?
My family currently consists of my partner, Ethan, who has been a best friend since High School and our two furrbabies, Peyton (2 yrs) and Cato (7 mo). The joy that the 3 of them brings to my life makes every day worth living!
Why did you select the business you are in?
Megan formed the company in the winter of 2013-2014, when she realized the need for more lodging for travelers looking to visit Oregon's wine county. Her love of hospitality and community came together to form what she believes is the most authentic way to visit Oregon, by living like a local. Megan's special eye for detail and intuitive anticipation for guest needs makes her the area's local expert on vacation rental design and coordination.
What do you like most about what you do?
Over the years as my business has grown, I have grown as well. I now find it most rewarding to be an employer and give back to my community. Four years ago, I would have said that I love helping curate memorable experiences for our guests, which I still do have a passion for. Yet, developing my skills as a local employer has brought me much joy.
Why did you join WOW and what is the most rewarding or valuable aspect of being a WOW member?
I am blown away by how many strong and smart women we have in our community, and I love getting to learn from each of them. Joining WOW, I hope to continue to build my local connections with women in business and grow my skills as a female entrepreneur.
If this applies: Who could be an ideal potential client for you?
We have two types of clients: 1. Our homeowners, and 2. Our guests. We focus on doing the best for each! Whether you have out of town guests visiting the area and need to help find them somewhere to stay, or you know of someone who has a second home in the area who would like to earn revenue while still being able to utilize their property for themselves - we are here to help with both!

What do you like to do for fun?
When I get a chance to take a break for myself I tend to fill my time with family, friends and my puppies! I also get so much enjoyment out of exploring the Willamette Valley and Volunteering.
What are five things you cannot live without?
As long as I have my health, I feel like I could live without most everything if needed.
Where is your favorite place to vacation?
I love staycationing locally, there is so much goodness in our backyard! When I do get a chance to travel, I love visiting Bend, the Flathead Valley Montana, and Big Sur California are on the top of my list.
Location: All over the Yamhill County!
